Chiefs as agents of social change...

Chief Chisunka's latest action of dissolving six marriages involving older men marrying under-age girls, is further evidence that our chiefs have the capacity for progressive thought and retain the potential for social change. Many of the social issues that Zambia is grappling with, such as early marriages and rampant HIV can only be achieved by working with chiefs to bring about changes in attitudes.
