Executive Issues (October Edition)

  1. Anybody know what is going on with Zambian Airways? Are they in debt because of high fuel prices? Why don't they list on LUSE and raise capital to settle their debt? Or can they raise their air fares? Can foreign investors buy equity in Zambian Airways?

  2. Last time they sounded very positive.

I don't think Zambian Airways has reached the position to list on LUSE. The company is still in flux.

Government policy is also not helping. It has not done enough to mitigate the high jet fuel costs.

I agree that NACL was right not to take a would be discriminary for an airport owner to have a stake in an airline....
