The Question of ZAMPOST

Government moved this week to reassure people that it has "no plans of privatizing the Zambia Postal Services (ZamPost) because it is running profitably" but is instead focused on "planning to commercialize the institution to make it more effective". Privatisation aside, if its not commercialised how do we know its running profitably? More seriously the last comprehensive report on ZAMPOST can be found here and it tells a different story. Interested readers should see the latest Postal Services Bill 2009 which shall be subject to more detailed discussion going forward.
