We have previously discussed how poor funding has hindered the Human Rights Commission. More evidence that this situation continues unabated. According to the Human Rights Commission Chairperson Pixie Yangailo "the commission had many developmental programs [in 2009] on their calendar but could not manage to do so due to financial constraints".
Every institution competes for resources. How is this any different from any spending agency in any country? Sure, they would have loved to do more in a fiscal year, but financial constraints prevented them from doing so.
ReplyDeleteThe quote from the HRC Chairperson cannot be used as evidence to suggest anything. It's just a quote from a spender wishing for more money to spend.
