Inflation Statistics - April 2010

The annual rate of inflation, as measured by the all items Consumer Price Index (CPI), decreased by 1.0 percentage point from 10.2 percent in March 2010 to 9.2 percent in April 2010. The decrease of 1.0 percentage point in the annual inflation rate in April 2010 is attributed to a "decrease in the cost of food items". The outlook going forward looks bright indeed.
